Midtown Community Services, a non-profit youth organization based in St. Louis, MO, and Erace The Hate (ETH) formed a valuable partnership that has had a positive impact on the community. The collaboration between these two organizations began during the quarantine period when ETH connected with Midtown Community Services.
One of the major highlights of this partnership was the creation of a song and music video over Zoom, involving more than 30 youth participants. Through ETH’s guidance and expertise, the young individuals were able to explore their creativity and express themselves through music. This project provided an opportunity for the youth to engage in a collaborative and empowering artistic process, despite the limitations imposed by the pandemic.
In 2021, as the partnership continued to flourish, ETH took an important step by traveling to St. Louis. During their visit, they conducted a highly engaging workshop on radio production, which proved to be an enriching experience for the students at Midtown Community Services. The workshop allowed the students to gain valuable insights into the world of radio production, learn essential skills, and explore their potential in this field. As a result, the participants had the opportunity to create their own demo podcasts, further nurturing their creative abilities and honing their talents.
The partnership between Midtown Community Services and Erace The Hate has been characterized by a shared commitment to empowering youth and providing them with opportunities for personal and artistic growth. By combining the resources and expertise of both organizations, this collaboration has fostered a supportive environment for the young individuals involved. Through the creation of music and the exploration of radio production, Midtown and ETH have empowered the youth in St. Louis, enabling them to discover their voices, express their emotions, and develop skills that can positively impact their futures.
